Did you miss these Curie Society Updates?

Since our debut on publication day at McNally Jackson, to meeting the wonderful folks at Brookline Booksmith and Print: A Bookstore, to our debut on MIT Press Live!, and fans and reviewers alike have been giving high praise to The Curie Society, EEP’s stunning STEM focused graphic novel.

The folks at The Nerdist took a moment to sit down with co-creators Heather Einhorn & Adam Staffaroni about the book – from the inception of an idea, to gathering the creative team (including author Janet Harvey and artist Sonia Liao), and working with a team of working scientists to create an informed scientific narrative.

“[The Curie Society] is an action-packed sci-fi adventure that puts women at the forefront.”

Rosie Knight, for The Nerdist

With so many intelligent people lending their experiences to the adventures of Simone, Maya, and Taj, it was clear we had to share some of the science! EEP was proud to debut at San Diego Comic Con for the #ComicConAtHome event on an Educational Panel with writer Janet Harvey, science educator Joy Barnes-Johnson, and science advisor Kasia Chimielinski, moderated by Nadja Oertelt from Massive Science! Check it out below if you missed the live event.

Our science-forward narrative even caught the eye of Engineering and Technology! We have to thank our publisher and partner The MIT Press for facilitating the creation of such an awesome book.

“… not only is the story fast-paced and entertaining, but it is also very educational – an ideal read for young and aspiring scientists and engineers, no matter their gender.”

Siobhan Doyle, for Engineering and Technology
